OUR TEAM
Business Finance Corporation offers its customers a skilled team of business
and legal professionals with over sixty years of business finance, restructuring
and turnaround, growth, management, and legal experience. In addition to establishing,
growing, and ultimately selling multiple business enterprises of their own, the
Business Finance Corporation team has worked with hundreds of clients, from start-ups
to distressed businesses to successful public companies, to address their financial
and operational needs. The Business Finance team includes:
James E. Trevino, Chairman and CEO.
Mr. Trevino is an Entrepreneur with over twenty-five years of business experience.
His primary areas of expertise are business financing, business development, merger
and acquisition and corporate turnaround. Mr. Trevino has invested in, founded
and sold many businesses during this time. These businesses have been in such
industries as software, internet, food, construction, transportation, financial
services and construction just to name a few.
Mr. Trevino has worked both nationally and internationally. He has extensive business
experience in working in Asia, Europe and Canada. This experience includes joint
venturing, licensing, marketing, import and export as well as investing.
Mr. Trevino knows the challenges the privately held corporation faces. His background
and experiences give him a unique platform from which to make business decisions,
solve problems and create opportunities. This is evidenced by his many business
successes and excellent track record.
Bart P. Mackay, Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. Mackay has nearly 25 years of experience as a practicing attorney, focusing
in areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, reorganizations
and voluntary workouts, and commercial transactional matters. During that time,
he worked with a wide range of enterprises, from start-ups to mature publicly-held
companies, relating to both legal matters and business strategies. In addition
to his legal work, Mr. Mackay has owned and managed successful enterprises, giving
him a unique business based perspective when analyzing and developing strategies
to address commercial challenges.
Dustin R. Trevino, CFO and Senior Analyst
Mr. Trevino is an experienced business professional with more than ten years of
financing, management and business ownership experience. He acts as the chief
architect of Business Finance Corporation’s financing strategies, identifying
micro and macro economic trends, new financial instruments and methodologies,
and assessing the financial needs and operational goals of clients. He is a graduate
of the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration and Finance.
